You Give Us Something To Believe In
By: Ro | February 27th, 2009
I wasn’t able to watch the full game, in fact I was unfortunately only able to only catch the last half hour. From what I read though, when Pato got tired everything went to hell. I went searching for the player ratings but only had luck with Milan news which gave him a 7.5 and Sport Mediaset which gave him a solid 7. He’s one of the only players that has been giving his all in every game so far, he covers more pitch than anyone, and he always plays to impress. I know I’ve covered this before but seriously, a 19 year old teen, who has only been with the squad for a year, has showed more heart on the pitch for Milan than players that have been with the club for more than a year. He gives us all something to believe in…like the fact that our whole squad isn’t completely crap.
If the so called transfer gurus were better with their transfer picks, then maybe just maybe our little starlet would have someone to partner with. When he’s partnered he’s freer to move about, and there isn’t as much pressure on him to score; if he misses there is always someone there to try again or vice versa. I wouldn’t be surprised if when his contract runs out he’ll be packing his bags to move onto pastures anew if Milan don’t step up their game again; and you have no idea how much that hurts me to admit that. Being the starlet that he is I think people sometimes forget that he’s just 19, but regardless of his age he should be supported more than he has been. It’s not his fault that we concede goals is it?
Did I mention that he was the only one that scored a goal, for Milan, while the ball was in play yesterday?

His celebration was short lived, because while it was a beautiful goal, it will forever be overshadowed by the fact that Milan were beaten at home and kicked out of the UEFA cup.
Here is a video of Pato’s goal, if you feel so inclined to watch it again:

And here i am! lol
Im so glad that you used that clip coz if u listen the goal seems to catch the commentator by total surprise, which if im honest, that happened to me to lol!
Not down to the fact that ANYONE doubts Pato (im sure other fans have a grudging respect for him) but coz he’s the only one playing like that at the moment and im glad you mentioned that in the write up Ro
This kid is FFFFFFFF’ing amazing and it feels like his talent is being wasted in half assed Milan
Loved his goal!
Bellisimo!
He’s, in all honesty, one of the few incentives to watch Milan at the moment!
Hopefully with big bro Kaka and uncle Dino on the way back the brazilian trio can relieve the Milan fans of their current depression
Forza Pato!

Lol Avia, I’m glad you liked the write up.
And of course that’s the reason I chose that video, that and the fact that it was the only semi ok quality video

great read Ro, you make a lot of valid points and it is really sad to see Pato’s form not making much of an impact but that goal was amazing.. what a wonder strike! im hoping to see more againts Samp tommorow and i know he’ll come through..He is def on fire at the moment. although it is probable he may want to leave if we dont improve i doubt it.. I know He wants to succeed here at Milan, win titles and become a legend. He will stay and fight through this difficult moment with everyone else, Forza Pato!
