Oi Bem-vinda a Pato the offside
By: Ro | February 18th, 2009Hello offside world! My name is Ro, some of you might know me from over at AC Milan the offside, those that don’t no need to worry, you will come to know more about me. Now on to the reason we are all here, Alex Pato. If you don’t really know who Alex Pato is, here is a little info on him to get you caught up.

His full name: Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva
Date of birth: September 2, 1989
Place of Birth: Pato Branco, Brazil (hence the nickname Pato)
Height: 1.84 m (6 ft 1⁄2 in)
Position: Striker
So how did the boy playing for Internacional in Brazil end up in Italy playing for AC Milan? Well take a look at this, and you’ll see why he was hunted by some of the biggest teams in Europe.
That moment will forever be engraved in my memory, I know it didn’t end in a goal but at that exact moment I knew that he belonged in Milan. That also wasn’t the last time that he has done the shoulder bounce, because he also did something similar during the Milan Vs. Reggina game; more on that in a future post though.
Not only does Pato have the skill and pace to become bigger and better that he already is. Being only 19 he hasn’t even reached his best yet, which should frighten the opposition a little. In many ways he’s still a teenager, his inexperience sometimes overshadowing his skill, but he has improved immensely in the last year. He loves to play video games and being on his laptop in his free time. So much so that he has been pictured many times in a heated battle against Ronaldinho on xbox during international duty.
To send us off I will quote a friend: “Pato is like a duck on ice, he’s that fast!”
