Running Rampant in Siena
By: Ro | March 15th, 2009Pato was back at his bestest today with a brace against Siena. Last weekend against Atalanta he left me a little worried that the partnership with Pippo wasn’t going to work. However, this weekend he blasted those thoughts into outer space. Both of his goals were amazing but the first one left everyone with their jaws hanging open. Any explanation I try and give won’t do it justice so here is a clip of it:
His best friend
Kaka made his comeback for the first time in over a month at the start of the second half….

However that was short lived because Kaka was subbed back out injured again shortly after.
Here is what he had to say after the game:
“I’m happy for the team’s win today and for my goals, but I know that I must always do better and help Milan to reach the Champions League for next season. I compliment Inzaghi, who is an example for me, I must learn to stay a bit behind. Pippo is very good inside the penalty box, and I’m happy that today he reached the target of the three hundred goals as he really wanted it.
“After my goals, I embraced Ronaldinho and Emerson because they have always been close to me, they help me during training and my way of thanking them was to score and allow them to participate in my joy.”
Forza Milan e Forza Pato!!!!

nice post ro, after the Atalanta clash i was worried about Pippo and him also but he did gift Inzaghi a delightful chipped assist for the second goal. today both goals were definate class. Patinho seems to have a rather powerful shot for a little man, as he’s scored bombs like this before. the Bremen Strike & F.C Zurich Freekick for two but seriously his second was a gem too i love how he went past the keeper like he wasnt there to score!

Thanks Samuel, that’s the main reason I didn’t post anything about the Atalanta match. You’re right his shots sometimes are out of this world…sometimes I’m left sitting there thinking this kid is only 19?
Lol. I think people will talk more about the first goal though because it was out of the area and how powerful the shot was…it’s too bad though because both, like you said, were great.Posted from

yeah they definately were, im not sure about what im about to say because Milan have had such a horrible season, but Pato must be seriously considered for some great accolades this year after such great performances shouldn’t he? He could be shortlisted for World Player of The Year and the Golden Ball. both are awards i believe he will win soon.

Oh most definitely he’ll win something soon for sure, if not this year then maybe next if he continues preforming.
You kinda scared me with this “im not sure about what im about to say because Milan have had such a horrible season,” I thought you were going to say that pato should/might leave at the end of the season.

Um i didnt mean to scare you Ro, haha do not worry Pato will not be going anywhere if we secure that fourth place finish, even if we did i rest assured he will stay.

Ro – Even tho his 1st goal made me drop to the floor in shock, joy, and all round ‘wtfkery’ his second goal in the match was also welcome!
After a million waywards shots at goal this season from pretty much the entire squad it was refreshing to see ducky go around the keeper and slot in the goal without even trying
If you watch closely, he already knows its going in waaay before it crosses the line!
Its refreshing to see that kinda sure footedness coming from a Milan striker, Forza Pato!
Im still drooling over his 1st goal tho!

Ro, just a suggestion but you know if would be great if you updated more general Pato news aside from Milan performance recaps. for instance he got called up to the Brazil Squad, commented on Ronaldo’s return to football, stated he hopes to win the Champions league with Milan next year..etc all within this week. It could be that you dont have the time but if you do I think it would be better if some of that was done, but your write-ups are fantastic. keep it up!

I’m really sorry Samuel…I’ve been swamped with school this past week…I promise that I’ll start updating more about him in general…it’s just I’ve been pulling days from 9-9 this week…and my life has been school and sleep. But as soon as things settle down I’ll be here. I know what you mean though.
You’re right Avia I agree with you.
